Day 112 (Sunday June 1) – More goodbyes

Rats, I missed Julie, Cleo, and Arto, who left last Friday for France to celebrate their Mom’s birthday. I did, however, spend a pleasant hour with Thierry, who is a concert-quality piano performer, and who regaled me with his favorite pieces from Rachmaninoff, Chopin, and Satie. Afterward he had to leave to rejoin his family in France, so we had to say au revoir. I really like Julie and Thierry, and wish them the best of lucks in their year at Montreal. They have promised to come visit me in California next year, so you will all have a chance to meet them and fall in love with Cleo.
