Day 1. A day of travel

Day 1. Not much to report. It was a long flight in three hops: Oakland to Los Angeles (United), Los Angeles to Chicago (United), and Chicago to Frankfurt (Lufthansa). Naturally my luggage did not survive the transfers, so I arrived to Frankfurt with the clothes on my back (literally). But keine Panik auf der Titanic. If you are going to lose luggage is better to do it with Lufthansa, because they are really good at tracking it down and bringing it to you at the house.
